A 3.2-Minute Read

It’s a great day for a Tuesday, Pirates!

I love sharing the idea – “We don’t know until we find out”

And sometimes, it’s too late when we discover the facts.

Let’s Dive In…

The Challenge

I want to pose this question.

Have you noticed anything on the news about the Strike in Hollywood?

This is not a political question to point a finger or take a side.

The reason I bring it up is to allow you to consider the following”:

Independent Creators are developing a massive audience.

The Joe Rogan Experience has an estimated 11 million listeners per episode.

The Ben Shapiro Show has a significant following on various platforms. On YouTube, the show has over 2.6 million subscribers and 550 million views on its channel.

T-Series: 243 million subscribers on YouTube.

Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes: 160 million subscribers on YouTube.

MrBeast: 159 million subscribers on YouTube.

The more challenging the landscape for big-budget studios is the quality of the content and the idea they are running the shows.

Kinda like Blockbuster versus Netflix.  Justsayin

The struggle is real.

Considerations

Today media is changing quickly, and we’re watching change happen right before our eyes.

Another independent film, “The Sound of Freedom,” beat out the projected blockbuster “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

I loved the Indiana franchise and didn’t go to see it like many others that didn’t drop the cash to catch up on the franchise.

I want it to be good.

However, I’m not sure that I won’t be disappointed if I go to the theater.

This is just an example of Hollywood recycling another bit of media that is falling short in today’s media environment.

I want to have you consider that this landscape of laziness for big-budget studios is feeling pressure from scrappy independent creatives.

My point: The future is bright for the Creator Economy

Hit reply and share your thoughts. REAL? Or is it just me?

Creative Content

Every single one of you has the advantage of creating something amazing without permission.

You’re a PIRATE DAMMIT

Let’s act like Pirates, create amazing stories, and share them with the world.

Why not you?

Fun Fact: Orson Welles was just 25 years old when he directed, co-wrote, starred in, and produced his very first feature film, Citizen Kane in 1941.

The film won Oscar for Best Writing (Original Screenplay); nominated for Best Actor, Best Picture, and Best Director.

We all have the capacity to create something with the gifts we have and the people we serve,

You already have permission since you’re a Pirate.

Conclusions

We’re surrounded by abundance and opportunity.

Learning how to see past the obstacles and the resistance is the way to succeed on this Pirate Journey.

Let’s not be a victim and blame anyone for the actions we fail to take.

It’s OK if you’re not interested in winning an Oscar.

However, I’m here to tell you how you can still be AWESOME!

We’re all on a journey and have the opportunity to great something that will impact someone’s life in a positive way.
